Generals To Host Local Player Tryout Saturday

MONTGOMERY, AL -- The Montgomery Generals are excited to announce they will be hosting a local player tryout on Saturday, May 3rd, at GW Carver High School in Montgomery, Alabama. The tryout is a prime opportunity for talented athletes to showcase their skills and earn a chance to join the Generals as they prepare for the upcoming National Gridiron League season.


Tryout Details:

🕘 Time: 9:00 AM (Players are encouraged to arrive early)

📍 Location: GW Carver High School, Montgomery, AL (2001 West Fairview Avenue, Montgomery, AL 36108)


PLAYER REGISTRATION


Players are advised to arrive early, bring proper football cleats, and stay well-hydrated to ensure they are ready to perform at their best. Registration will begin promptly at 8:00 AM, and all participants should be prepared for a competitive evaluation process.


The tryout will feature a series of drills designed to assess speed, agility, strength, football IQ, and position-specific skills. Coaches and team scouts will evaluate participants throughout the morning.


Players who put together a solid performance during the tryout will be offered the exciting opportunity to join the Generals for Training Camp, which is set to begin on Saturday, May 17th, in Montgomery. Training Camp will be the final step in assembling the 2025 Montgomery Generals roster as the team prepares for an exciting professional football season.


Players interested in participating are encouraged to pre-register online or register on-site the morning of the tryout. Participants must be at least 18 years of age and not currently under a professional football contract.
